A masters degree is a post baccalaureate or a graduate degree. This degree is awarded to students that complete one to three years of concentrated study in a specific field of knowledge.
Depending on the field of study, some graduate students take advanced courses. Some students also have internships or even write a thesis. Typically you must hold a Bachelor's Degree to pursue a Masters, however in some cases relevant work experience could qualify a student.
